Choose how much time we’ll be spending together, from 1 to 4 walks per week.
Groups are intentionally small with just 1-3 dogs, with walks carefully curated for your dog’s needs.

Most dogs are happiest on walks in small, calm groups.
We consciously limit our walks to 1-3 dogs at a time - no large packs or overstimulation.
We explore the countryside on dog walks around Burgess Hill, Ditchling and Hurstpierpoint, selecting quiet country paths, bridleways and beautiful meadows.
We never rush. Your dog will have the freedom to roam, sniff and socialise at their own pace. Whatever your dog’s temperament - whether confident or cautious, our walks are designed to give them a weekly ritual they look forward to.
Your dog will have fresh water on every walk, as well as high-value treats and you'll always receive updates on how they're doing.

About me
Hi, I'm Sophie. I started Walks by Sophie because I believe dogs deserve better than rushed walks in large packs.
For our dogs, walks are about so much more than exercise. Walks are how they socialise and explore the world, where they can feel included and cared for.
I've always adored dogs, from our first family dog to my current pup, Cher. After a decade building customer success teams for other peoples businesses, I decided it was time to build something of my own - here in Burgess Hill, the community I live in.
I didn't rush it, I spent time working for an established local dog walking business first, learning the job properly before putting my name on it. Walks by Sophie is the result of that - a small, considered business built to last. Each dog I care for gets the same love, patience and attention I give my own dog.
By keeping my groups smalI, every walk stays calm, unhurried, and something we all look forward to.
I want walks by Sophie to be more than a service. I want it to be part of this community, supporting local, growing sustainably and doing one thing exceptionally well for a long time.

I wanted my dogs to be walked in our local area in Burgess Hill, rather than the dogs spending ages in a vehicle travelling out of the area. The other attraction to Sophie was that she keeps the pack to 3 or less, this is important to me as one of my spaniels is completely deaf and would be overwhelmed with a large pack of dogs. Sophie is completely trustworthy and loves my dogs as her own
